miiWine is a South African winery directory. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

We may process public winery information, listing-claim details (name, work email, role and message), winery-account credentials, and operational records needed to prevent abuse and maintain the service. Payment card data is handled by PayFast; miiWine does not store card numbers.

How we use it

We use claim and account information to verify listing ownership, provide a winery workspace, review requested changes, prevent fraud and respond to support requests. We do not sell personal information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Public and private details

Imported source contacts are treated as private migration data. They are never shown on a public listing unless an authorised winery user deliberately adds public contact details through the winery workspace and those details are approved.

Sharing and retention

We share information only with service providers needed to operate miiWine, including hosting, payment and security providers, or where required by law. We keep account and claim information only for as long as needed for the service, legal obligations and dispute handling.

Your rights

You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal information, or object to processing where applicable. Contact the miiWine team with the winery name and email address used for the request. We may need to verify identity before acting.

Cookies and analytics

Essential session cookies keep signed-in areas secure. No non-essential analytics or advertising tags are active at this time. If that changes, we will request consent before loading them.

Security and changes

We use access controls, encrypted HTTPS transport and operational safeguards to protect information. No internet service is completely risk-free. We may update this policy as miiWine develops; the date above will show the current version.
